Bug 264: CLOSED
Maybe somehow corrupt rootfs4.gz file on the recent (2024-Sep-29) rolling loRAM flavor
Date: 2024-10-12 - Creator: ASM - Priority standard - 0 messages
Hello! I'm trying to install the just-X variant (vmlinuz + rootfs.gz + rootfs4.gz + rootfs3.gz) of the recent system to my hard drive. I could copy the files, also could extract the 'rootfs.gz', but extracting the 'rootfs4.gz' file with the showed "unlzma < rootfs4.gz | cpio -id" command gives the following error: "Decoder errorcpio: short read" I've checked the file with sha256sum both on the CD and on my HDD : the hash is the same, so I don't think my hard drive is the problem. (anyway, the SMART showed me a total of 376 hours runtime of the disk, so there are not so many chance that it could be bad) But every info from that error message point me out that the file has some formating or corruption problem. Would You check it?
Affected package(s): rootfs4.gz
