chvt fails

Even when executed in a live SliTaz,
booted from the ISO image slitaz-rolling-core64.iso of 2021-03-28,
switching of virtual terminals via chvt command
and via Ctrl Alt F3 fails:
Terminal tty3 does not get control of the screen,
but it looks like the xsession is terminated and restarted.
chvt is a busybox applet.
